Are my fish okay in complete darkness? Please answer?
So I have three guppies, neon tetras, in one tank and two male bettas both separated in my room in different tanks. Are they okay being in complete darkness during the night? Or should I move them? As I type this it is nighttime and they are in the dark. Thank you!

Fish need to sleep in darkness as they can't actually close their eyes. As long as they are getting good sunlight at some point for a few hours they will be fine

Yes, it's fine for fish to be in darkness during the night.
It's not good to have them in the dark 24 hours a day.

They need to have darkness at light to sleep so as long as they have light during they day you're doing everything right :)

I don't remember any fish in the wild having a nightlight or flashlights so I'm sure they're ok.
