Registering EIN?
So I applied for an EIN and filed as an LLC.. Then I checked the secretary of state business entity search and what are the odds that they have the exact same name/spelling but they're incorporated. Do you think i'm good or do I have to change the name?

Should've done the entity search first!
You can check the website for your state's Secretary of State to determine whether the two businesses with the same name are permitted. (My state says specifically that words indicating "corporateness" such as LLC, Inc., Corporation, etc. are not an adequate distinction.)
However, even if you can get by legally, there's danger of confusion that could create problems for both businesses for years to come. I would change my business name, if it were me.
