Does Rush Limbaugh really believe that the Polar Vortex is a hoax?

Rush obviously is suggesting that it is a hoax to claim that our CO2 emissions have caused the Polar Vortex. Is that such a difficult concept for you lefties to figure out? Rush knows very little about science but he clearly knows things that alarmunists are clueless about.

Gring0 calls him a college drop out and fat in typical leftist ad hom attack yet Rush makes over $30 million a year and has his own private jet so I can understand why Gring0 is jealous of his success. Rush didn't get there because he is an empty suit. He pursued his dream and worked hard and he simply is smarter and better than his competition.

You alarmists are typical of moronic leftist extremists who like to pretend somebody says something and then argue against your own misrepresentation. If you would pull your heads out of your asses for once, and bother to look at history, you would see what an utter failure your ideology has produced.

it is a term that has not been used until lately. The global warming crowd is using it to scare people. The north pole is the second coldest place on earth. If the temp went up by ten degrees it would not matter a hill of bean.

The jet stream follows a general west to east path across north America. However it meanders, moves up and down, do to the complexities of the earth's overall weather. Right now the path is moving north and allowing warmer weather to come up from the south. Nothing new here.

If it's a hoax, who profits by pushing it? Monetarily, no one. But who profits by saying it IS a hoax when it's not? The oil companies and the sponsors of Limbaugh's show.

Does Limbaugh actually believe what he says? Who knows. He's either a liar getting paid to spout that crud, or he's a total idiot. But why does it matter, why pay any attention to guys like him?

He says the vortex was just made up this week, so he either hasn't even used his google search or he's simply lying. The polar vortex has been in the scientific literature for decades. Usually the jetstream goes horizontally but this time it's meandering hence the dip down to the midwest instead of staying to the north. What the midwest experienced is supposed to happen occasionally even without climate change (but this isn't to say climate change can't increase the frequency of the occurrence).

The climate-denying shills are quick to point out colder than normal weather, but they neglect to mention that Australia is having its hottest summer ever.

I think we'd all benefit by not trying to draw conclusions about climate (long-term behavior) from small samples of weather (short-term behavior). Climate change is happening regardless of the weather today or tomorrow. Correlating a day/week of weather with climate is like saying, "Oh look the roulette wheel just landed on Red 5 times in a row, I guess we should all bet on Red!"

Interesting that Limbaugh isn't attacking the latest findings in physics or chemistry. I suppose those scientists are legit but for some reason climate scientists are all phonies, and any half-wit like him knows more than the entire population of PhD's when it comes to climate. Why even go to college, let's all just get a degree in meteorology by listening to his show and pulling info out of our behinds.

He's a political rat, no solutions or ideas to improve anything. Rush is the King of Hoax. He's a pure example of odious. I like him as much as I like the taste of rotten milk. Not.

Absolutely not. But the way the media is portraying the Vortex could be considered a scam. The news media is trying to claim that the Vortex is something new and caused by AGW.

The Vortex has been around for centuries and it is natural. That is all he brought out. I heard it first hand.

I'm not sure why Yahoo "skeptics" feel a compulsion to defend liars, but jim z is at it again. Did you even look at the link to Rush's site Jim? Would you have felt the same way if he'd said that plate tectonics was invented this week? If not, then stop defending this clown for his anti-science lies.

There's a difference between being a self-made man and getting extremely rich by telling lies and distortions to people who are just a bit more stupid than Rush. Limbaugh is nothing more than a snake oil salesman who terrifies his audience with tales of a New World Order, Obama taking their guns away or the US dollar losing its value and then targets his audience with ads for survival kids, gun sales and gold coins.

Yes, even stupid people can become extremely rich. Yet in the Real World that doesn't magically equal their scientific expertise to someone who actually finished college, got a university degree and subsequently studied climate physics for decades.

Rush Limbaugh has his own television show. He says things to keep his ratings up. He knows it's BS, he still gets paid and laughs all the way to the bank.
