Can I join PJ (paratrooper rescue)?

Question

Hi everybody I'm Italian and I'm 17. Last summer I went to USA for 10 days and I would like to go to live there because people were welcoming and friendly with me in all the cities I visited while here in Northern Italy most of the people are racist and Fascist. I would have a dream I mean to join the PJ in the army because I always watch a tv programme that tells about American PJs in Afghanistan and I would like to join it, but I'm Italian, so the question is can I or there will be problems with documents and with other bureaucratic things?

Um, Im planning to enlist in the US Army, and there are no Paratrooper rescues in the army. I think you might be thinking of the Pararescue in the Air Force. Pararescue is the Special Forces for the Air Force and is definately not the easiest thing to get into. It's pretty difficult and takes a great amount of will power. Now in the Army, there is the Air Assault, and Airborne which still jump out of planes and all that. 
As to you being italian, you can still join the military BUT, you have to either be a registered american citizen, or have a green car Visa, with a residence in america. But from the sounds of it, you want to move here, so just become a legal american citizen.

A few points of information:

- the PJs are in the Air Force, not the Army
- 'PJ' does not mean 'paratrooper rescue'
- in order to enlist into the US Armed Forces, you must be a resident alien at a minimum;  this means you must have the 'green card'

You MUST hold a green card valid for 10 years before they will even speak to you.

The US military can not and will NOT assist you in getting a green card.
