The US Navy SEALS are on the equivalency to the Royal Navies Special Boat Service. The SBS gets most of its candidates from the Royal Marines.
@ Jake. The SAS is on par with Delta, not the SEALS. Also the Royal Marines are British Commando's. So in US terms they would in fact be in the Special Operations community.

Navy SEALs any day. Even the Brits will admit that. The royal marines aren't part of the special forces community. Navy SEALs and SAS would be a more controversial comparison.
