Highest form of Bhakti (can be taken equal to prayer here) is remembering God every time i.e when doing any work.

Praying in a holy place is better than watching TV at home but if we compromise some really useful work for just praying, it's wrong. Moreover I can't understand Christian ways of praying by holding each other's hands, to me it seems more like trying to put political pressure on God and their acts of drinking wine and consuming killed animals without any regret.

No, I don't accept that. The Catholics still have that list that all Christians used to have of the works of mercy. Look at them and you might conclude the opposite, that if you were to do only one or the other (admittedly a anti-God thing to do anyway) the praying would be FIRST.

Yes, provided hands serve humanity. Better still is work as worship. Even otherwise, hands that work for oneself are far better than those spread for alms. Praying lips without working hands are useless and nothing short of sycophancy for God. However I like to trust that God helps if one is sincere.

I think if you only pray and their is no action involved in your words, then your prayers aren't worth anything.
