What about teens in pubs?

Question

We are from Switzerland and do not know what is legal in Britain - or not. We adults have two 15y old girls with us. Would it be legal to talk them into pubs for dinner? Would there be any time limit? Thanks for any reply. And.... no they may not drink any alks....

So did I understand it correct? Until 9pm no problem - but after 9pm never ever, also not if accompanied by adults?

They can go into pubs if the landlord will let them but cannot drink alcohol.
Just remember pubs can be very different from lovely country pubs that concentrate on serving meals for families to serious drinking dens that may not be comfortable with you.

Before 9pm they are allowed. After 9pm they are not allowed. Under 14's they have to be with an adult at all times. 15's and overs, don't have to! They cannot buy alcohol under 18. You can buy them alcohol at 14/16 (depending on the licence of the pub) only if they have a meal. Other wise NOT.

We actually some place do allow you to stay in after 9pm especially with an adult i have 2 very young children and have never been asked to leave after 9pm when we have gone out even if we didnt have food. the best thing to do is always ask the manager/ staff when you enter just so you are double sure at the end of the day you dont want your trip to be ruined by being asked to leave

Depends on pubs, usually children are welcome to about 9pm or so. Some have restrictions such as they are not allowed at the bar, some have to be for food/dinner only. Just ask at the bar when you arrive. 

Usually most pubs are happy to have families. Try to pick a nice country pub, some chain pubs in town 'weatherspoons' etc can be a bit rough around the edges and are not always a nice place to enjoy yourself even during the day!!
