My Toshiba laptop speakers are too quiet?

how can i turn up the volume or get an app with amplifier. The speakers are wayyyyy to quiet.

I know about the volume control on the side. it's up. Even my Android phone is too quiet. I'm losing my hearing and hearing aids are $1,399.00 ... I need to turn the volume up on all my stuff cuz $1,399 is too much ...

Update 2:

even external speakers are hit and miss. If they got their own power then they're bulky. There has got to be a way to increase volume. My son has a Toshiba laptot that is much louder than mine.
