What are the maximum # of hours an employer can schedule an employee without giving them any lunch or breaks?
Thanks. I happen to be in Texas and have been getting scheduled 11-12 hours a day which then usually get more time tacked on at the end to make it even longer but with no lunch or breaks of any kind.

Its up to the state law.... In virginia exployers dont have to give you any breaks or lunch breaks... I worked a Gym where they worked us to the bone 8 hours every day without so much of a 10 minute break...
Im working in Jcpenny now and they give us an Hour lunch break, and a 15 minute optional paid break.. I like that so much better, altho it does kinda make it seem like a 9 hour day instead of 8 hour

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not require breaks or meal periods be given to workers. Some states may have requirements for breaks or meal periods. If you work in a state which does not require breaks or meal periods, these benefits are a matter of agreement between the employer and the employee (or the employee's representative).
