olive oil dip for fresh bread recipe?

idk why but i had been craving some bread and herb oil lately and want to make some tomorrow when i go shopping, what are the herbs used mostly in Italian restaurants that served bread and oil?

    Some add only fresh ground pepper. You may also want to add a pinch of oregano, rosemary, thyme, basil, salt, and parsley (or any combination of the above). Fresh spices are always better than dried.

    If you don't satisfy your craving tomorrow - buy the herbs you want (dried) and let them marinate in a bottle of olive oil for a few weeks. then try it, seasoned with salt and pepper. i personally don't like the pieces of herb stuck to my bread, so im a fan of this

    the food police recommend pure virgin olive oil unadulterated for dipping bread in!!

    they do not want it to be at all tasty!
