Well, the first thing to understand is that the planet will not be destroyed. Whether it remains liveable for people is a different situation. But the planet will go on.

Capitalism is actually not being practiced anywhere. Adam Smith economics states that the government should not favor or disfavor any company. Lobbyists make sure that will not happen.

Everything has a evolution of sorts... Economics is no exception. Like commodity economies, bartering economies, legalism, feudalism, communism, etc, capitalism will be replaced by something or will be unrecognizable in the future. It is already not purely practiced in the wealthiest nations.

Completely false in every aspect. What does capitalism have to do with "perpetual war" or any war for that matter? You don't even understand the definition of capitalism.

Capitalism is one of mankind's greatest achievements in my book. The problem is not that capitalism is evil or bad, the problem is that it can't cover all the needs of our society. It would be hard to find a more motivating idea than that of making a profit with the fruit of one's labors.

I don't think capitalism itself is the problem. I think it's the way we do it. Capitalism has to be reformed to be more in line with the traditional definition. For instance, it needs to be seen once again as a co-equal partnership between capital and labor. It has to be subject to environmental limits. And we can't have corporations that are 'too big to fail'-that's not capitalism at all, that's corporate socialism.

We have system of corporatism now cause we keep electing politicians only beholden to their corporate sponsors. If we elected guys like Dr. Ron Paul, we would not be in such a mess.
