If you eliminate all government regulations...?
... what are the checks and balances for the inherent human greed that those regulations try to restrain?
AsHkAn sE - Okay, but first you should read a grammar book.

"what are the checks and balances for the inherent human greed that those regulations try to restrain?"
Regulations are enforced by humans; how are they not subject to this "greed" you speak of? Why can't regulators get greedy? Regulators can be greedy, so this system of regulations is not necessarily the solution in and of itself. Who guards the guards here?
If you honestly believe that human greed can cause corruption (a realistic belief) then you can't logically turn around and say that regulations are always an effective way to counter this, because they are subject to the same flaw.

"The success of financial markets is in many ways a success of regulation. Governments establish regulators who set down rules for participants in financial markets. These rules may be perceived as onerous and costly by members of the financial community. But ultimately it's what makes their salvation. It's what makes everything possible."

read a economics book......no one said ban all regulation.....but don't get moral on our asses and don't spend our money for us....................
humans trade bc they are greedy and you know what? it is a good thing and it works out.....]
government is supposed to make sure there is no fraud....nobody steals......etc. and maybe a few more regulations and also gov. can do businesses/research projects that are a huge undertaking for privates to pull off.........also the army should probably be with gov. in my opinion....so does a minumum standard of education.......

I don't think anyone is suggesting doing away with all government regulation.
There are so many, they are overwhelming
Government is not the answer. Government is the problem
