If a country has no history of democracy and all their neighbours have failed when they tried, why not...?
You know, Iraq, Libya, Saudi, Syria, and Afghanistan. Never have they had a democracy before.
And yet it would be such a wonderful thing if they could get a really good one going.
By a really good one, I don't mean one where there's only ever one party in government, controlling everything, and where the others never stand a chance.
So what if they got things started with a new party composed wholly of people who won their place in this party in an open to all lottery? The aim is to ensure that no one party gets too much power early on and stops acting in the interests of the country.
So when expanding the list of parties ahead of elections, a 2nd party, which checks what the public wants and goes with the outcomes of these surveys on every issue, might win a lot of votes, right? And then maybe a 3rd party could be based on a committee composed of whichever people turned out to be the most intelligent and have relevant knowledge in tests, and a 4th could be based on open to all popularity tournaments where one in five always ends up advancing to the next round ...other options could be based on a lottery of all companies, a gathering of all religions, of all trade unions, etc. Rather than let one party bankrolled by the rich create a system where all other parties are crippled by the system, let's develop some ideas on how to ensure this never happens, and why not consider a system where the voter's options are based on the above specially set up parties?
And why not let all voters enter their own ideas into a big referendum-ish tournament of what the new constitution should contain, and what the new voting system and the allocation of powers should be?
It's more democratic than the way all current constitutions of the world came into being, isn't it?

Their societal concept of "democracy" vastly differs from western concepts.

democracy, in its true form is the single most corrupted way of annexing a country away from the people that use this systerm, through corrupt policy, under democracy politics an politicians , ruthlessly persue a political caree, with empty promises, lies, backflips an golden parachutes as soon as they are elected, an its starts from the biggest of all America, Obama has not ceased the war in Iraq,an the return of soldiers America uses democracy to challenged nearly every country to come in to order by economics.,trade, an then military action , Libya is currently receiving the same intervention, whereby under the guise of protecting innocence, they indiscriminately interfer, elect to replace a dictator, with their own puppet, so they can introduce their own form of democracy an gain control of a countries resources, OIL is a prime example, however in alot of countries its failed , JAPAN is one country that refused democracy for these very reasons , an continue to be an EMPIRE ...by refusing to except the introduction of democracy, America placed huge trade embargos on Japan before WW2, whereby Japan where been isolated from the world of trade.....no democracy is not the be all, it is far to corrupt an transpearnt...an not difficult to look up an find where it has failed introduced to many countries,.Australia an New zealand has their muppets, where on a day today occurance polititians lie through their teeth to there consituaints, keep their jobs after many years of doing a shyet job, only to congraulate themselves with a huge golden parachute when they retire , an then place themselves up for a knighthood of an order...lol..these people make me sick, yet is indicative of democracy...no thanks..Id rather have a dictator, at least then youd know where you stood, these others are ALL snakes.ALl liars, ALL cheats, an the unexcusable is it occurs everyday under democracy.
