i think the fish is rotten they say it isnt?/?

Question

i got home a few minutes ago and my parents cooked dinner, they made fried fish and to me it smelled worse than usual not to mention you could smell something that had been fried all the way into our garage. the fish had a very fishy odor to it and in my opinion had a sour taste, i spat mine out but they said they didn't taste or smell anything. 

should i be worried, was it rotten>??????

Yes, when in doubt throw it out. If it stinks u shouldn't eat it, tell them chef colin said they have they're heads up their **** for trying to make you eat it. Seriously u could get sick and maybe die. Fresh fish should have no odor at all. Honestly the stuff u buy from a supermarket is never as fresh as in a quality restaurant and if you leave it sitting around for even a couple of days usually its not very safe to eat

Any good chef will tell you - Fish should not smell like fish.  If it does toss it or don't eat or buy it.

It could be just suck it up.  My parents did the same to me.  Their parents did the same to them.  You just tell your self you won't do the same to your own kid.
