different bases for a sponge cake?
i'm changin the base for my victoria sponge cake in my food lesson -- do uu guys hav ani clue wt i culd changee for the base.
so far i gt marble cake but i need a few more!!

a marble cake is not a sponge cake. you can't change the base without changing the type of cake it is.

I do think I understand your question. But If you are looking for a traditional Sponge Use the equal weight recipe. Weight out 3 eggs and match their weight with self-rising-flour, sugar and butter. For example last time I made it I used 3 Eggs, 175 grams butter, 175 grams sugar, and 175 grams Flour. If you dont have self rising flour just add 4 grams baking powder and 1 gram salt. Cream all ingredients add vanilla or preferred flavoring and bake 350 F for 30-35 mins. It believe in ancient times recipes where formulated by ratios of ingredients and not by standard measurements.
If you are looking to make a Victoria Sponge and want to throw a spin on it perhaps use Almond extract and it will give a very different taste.
