This was a simple solution for caramelization. One does not have to be a brain surgeon and it is not the kind of thing that will go on record - since it's just not a big deal. It might have very well been Ben Franklin or Thomas Jefferson if you ask me. .....or even your Dad. Ask him to publish it in the Guinness book of record that he is the first to use it maybe they will.
