What do Scots have for lunch?
I was told it usually is a sandwich and a pretty sweet softdrink or a salad or something. But what do Scots have for lunch when they're at home and e.g. have guests staying with them?
I need it for a story, no big city close, just a family meeting.
Can you help me please?
We (I'm from Germany) usually have a warm dish, pretty much of it with potatos and salad and so on, sometimes even a soup before and dessert afterward. Don't you rather have a big meal for dinner?

I a Scottish (from Glasgow) and we eat the same things for lunch that everyone else does. Maybe things like soup, baked potato, sandwich etc.

When having lunch at home we usually have soup and a sandwich or just a sandwich and yogurt. Beans on toast is a family favourite. Boiled eggs and toast could be eaten at lunch time too. Usually drunk with tea or coffee. If you are writing present day that is.
If you are writing say for previous generations it would be totally different.
