How to answer the interview question, "What two things set you a part from other applicants?

Make them be more specific. Say something like; "Without knowing the other applicants, I can't answer that. Tell me more about them, and I would be happy to compare and contrast my abilities."

Follow immediately with, "I can tell you about me, and you can decide who will add more value to this company."

Then turn it around on them, "I handle ambiguity well. I think clearly under pressure. I am inquisitive and readily incorporate new information. I base my decisions on fact, not emotion. I can guarantee you Honesty, Intelligence and Effort...What's the other guy got?"

the answer that i feel has gotten me hired twice now is my drive to do better than asked of me , and the ability to finish things that others have said were not possible has worked twice for me . if you have to elaborate just make something up that fits in well it works if you are good enough at it
