What is the blue book value for a 98 Ford Taurus in fair condition (155K miles)?
I live in western NY. I got into a car accident today (T-boned), but the other driver was at fault. I am not injured. My car's driver side front and rear door are smashed, the front quarter panel, side mirror, hood and front bumper. I don't know anything about auto body repair costs, but I am pretty sure that the damage costs exceeds the value of the car. This means that the other driver's insurance will pay me for the blue book value of the car, correct? Can anyone give me a bluebook estimate for the car listed above in FAIR condition? I could only find the value for excellent condition...
what do you mean no book on the car? I got a blue book value for 2600, but that's in excellent condition. Do you mean the insurance company won't give me bluebook?

When one of my cars was totalled they determined its value using avg sale price of similar cars for sale in my area. Having low mileage also helps raise value.
Goto Autotrader and search for similar cars.

not good... just over a 1000... that was the sedan, in good condition with automatic transmission and 3.0 Liter V6, not the 3.8 liter.

no book on that car/too old and too many miles/they will tell you what they will pay/more or less on a take it or leave it basis
