Is there anywhere online where i can learn Japanese?
My school doesn't offer Japanese and i'd really like to learn it.... can anyone recommend a good website? thanks! (oh, and if it were free, it would be better.. :) )

Be wary of online DIY language websites. They mean well but aren't always the most reliable.The best teachers are, well, teachers. Books are probably better. I recommend a series and a Japanese-English dictionary. A separate book on kanji wouldn't hurt either.
Japanese pod 101 is an OK place to get "Japanese lessons" but they are more helpful in pronunciation and such. You can pay for a premium but the podcasts work just as well. They can be subscribed to via itunes or the zune marketplace.
