What is going to happen to America with so many people loosing jobs?

What will happen if this continues is first, run away inflation and then another depression. Check the history books and see what we're in for.

I have been unemployed for 2.5 years. I don't count any more according to them. I am a trained professional and there is no work. I am an editor, graphic designer. My friend is an accountant and can't find work. He has been out of work for two years and is no longer part of the Washington statistics. My best friend is (was) a carpenter with over 15 years of experience and can't get a job. My other friend's husband is a computer engineer and was given his walking papers. He is the only one who was able to find work and it took him months and months. Now his new job is cutting hours and threatening lay offs. It is everywhere. You squeeze enough people hard enough and something very bad is going to happen. The Great Depression brought us widespread homelessness, hunger and malnutrition and an increase in crime.

well, something that might well happen very soon is the Prime mortgage market will collapse. This is because people who have good credit, pay their bills and didn't get in over their heads will default because they simply lost their jobs. Employers, when faced with this new cap and tax, or the ridiculous amount they will be taxed to pay for obamacare will have no fiscally responsible choice left but to trim their payroll.

I heard one economic analyst coin the term "The GREATEST Depression" for what we are hurtling headlong into with absolutely no way to avoid it. With the complete lack of fiscal responsibility displayed by our "leaders" in the government, we'll hit bottom fast. You think unemployment is bad now? Just wait. I'm thinking we'll have at least 30 to 35 percent unemployment before we turn around...if we ever do.

We need to stop importing foreign products and stop outsourcing our jobs to other countries with lower-paid workers. If we did that, there'd be enough jobs for even the illegal Mexicans working here.

I'm trying not to panic. This country seems to go into a big crisis every couple decades. I think about losing my job and I get scared. I can't live on unemployment; I wouldn't be able to pay the rent, let alone buy food and pay bills. They say to have six to eight months of emergency savings, but I don't even have one week of emergency savings!

Wouldn't it be great if every family was self-sufficient, growing their own food and even making their own clothes?

Obama cannot create jobs. What is gonna happen? Civil war, crime and poverty of millions, millions of homeless and hungry. But the majority will be doing well. Pray God you will be one of them. This is capitalism where someone should suffer and die so that other would prosper

It starts with our Public Schools. For example, you used the word loosing, but you meant losing. Likely, your teachers either never corrected you, or you simply never learned the difference.

Further, your run-on sentence further displays your lack of understanding of basic sentence structure.

Lastly, this is simply a rant, not a question posed in hopes of an answer.

We had extra of of undertaking of capitalism back then then we do now. Now the economic gadget is falling and agencies cant save their people so they lay them off. what's going to ensue is people will look on the government to repair it. permit me refraise that. what's going to ensue is the governments puppets who vote for presidents who screw us will desire the government to repair this occasion and then socialism will start to take direction.

i have no clue but we are not the worst economy in the world right now. We are actually one of the best going through this difficult time. Japan and other countries are way worse. Just pray for us, and maybe we will get jobs soon.

Once unemployment runs out we're all going to move in with Canada, and sleep on their couch.

They may have to move to Mexico as an illegal immigrant and find work there. How ironic would that be...especially if the Mexicans want to boot them out.
