how do i find out the brand, product line and product model of my computer?

Question

my comp says it doesnt detect any audio device so i dowloaded driver detective to see if that will help the sound drive but its asking me for my model, line, and brand. i already dowloaded belarc and it wasnt of any help. driver detective says my comp is "elitegroup" i've never heard of that. i've been at this for hours already! please somebody HELP!

Hi,
your product model of your computer SHOULD be label somewhere on your CPU tower. As for your audio issues, go to Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manger

If there is a question mark next to audio device then that means you have not install the driver from your utilities CD. ( can also download online, your choose). If its not hardware issue then you probably have inserted the wrong plug in the wrong socket. Make sure that the green plug is inserted into the green socket ( that is your audio).

start......all programmes............accessories
system tools 
and the 1 you want system information 
1 st page reading down the right side give you info about your motherboard
open Components (+) the info on the right should help with sound
next display (+) this helps with graphics card and therefor drivers

you can find some of this if you go 
r/click my computer ......properties......hardware 
device manager
again use the (+) sign to open the groups

or open the side of the box and find the make and model stamped on the board

what ever name brand your computer is go on line to the company web site go to download  then type in the info it should take you to all the drivers and up date for that computer.
