I think football OT should go on for a full quarter. Does anyone else agree?
Instead of relying on a team's knowledge of probability of a coin toss, why not let it be about which team is overall better? By giving both teams' offense and the defense a crack at the ball, I think it would be more fair. Basically, I think whoever wins the coin toss has an unfair advantage. Plus, it's another quarter of football that the fans get to enjoy. I mean, we wouldn't end a tied baseball game with the first person to slide home. Why do we do this with football?

the current system the NFL uses is ignorant, it should more like the college system.

I disagree to an extent. A full OT would be detrimental to both teams. Playing four full quarters alone leaves every player extremely tired. You run the risk of injury by adding another 15 minutes. However I don't agree on the sudden death that we have now. Lets settle this with what everyone keeps saying, College rules of OT for NFL...Equal chance for both offenses, No more ties, and no more dumb quarterbacks from Philly sounding like morons.

No. Your team has a chance to stop the drive. They can either get that done or lay down and take it like a pro. I would love the more football thing, but I am a Panthers fan. When they did that against the St Louis Lambs, I thought my heart was going to quit until Steve Smith went for the touchdown to put it away in double over time.

Football is too physical. You're risking more injuries and more exhaustion. Plus, if each team can score for the entire period, you open up the possibility for even MORE overtimes.
There's nothing unfair about it. The defense has to go out and play just as much as the offense does. If the defense can't do its part, that team deserves to lose.
Would you be complaining if the Colts had won?

Errr, no. This isn't college. It's up to the team who opens on defense to get the ball back for their offense, or maybe make a game-breaking play of their own.
That whole coin toss thing is just feeble and whiny.

The Colts got 1 quarter to score which was the 4th quarter. They put up a big fat 0 so there you go they got their quarter.

I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING ACTUALLY. BUT IM A COLTS FAN SO I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING WHEN THAT COIN CAME UP "TAILS".
BUT IF YOU REALLY SIT BACK AND THINK ABOUT IT THATS A GOOD IDEA
