I had 2 weeks overdue before they induced me. Damn.

It's hard to wait, I know. I have C-Sections now, and I am going in on MONDAY! :)

But a due date is a *guess*, the baby will come when he/she is ready to make the grand debut. It's hard, and frustrating! But worth the wait. You dont want to risk health problems by rushing baby.

Try walking a lot, doing squats, having lots of sex, nipple stimulation, or riding on a bumpy road. :) Old wives tales but will keep you busy why you wait.

Did you lose your mucas plug yet? A big chunk of it means it's gonna happen soon. If not, you're really not ready.

Not quite....I was 2 weeks overdue. Remember that your baby can come 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the "due date" and be considered "on time". My little girl came the day before I was to be induced...that little bum.

ok, i wouldn't recommend it, but babies can be born just seven months in, but i wouldn't recommend it, because the baby still needs to prepare itself before coming out. they will have to induce labor if the baby is way overdue, but the last two months are basically "insurance" to prevent anything like deffects, besides, you can't really expect a baby to be born if it's not done growing in the fetal stage. it's like telling a hen to lay more eggs. you can't do that if it's out of eggs.

No the only thing you can do is plead with your doctor until he/she gives in and calls the hospital to have a bed ready for you to be induced. Sorry I know it sucks! =(

Doctors will usually only induce you if they think it absolulty necessary...for the baby. I do think that you can go to the hospital and see what they will say. Good Luck

no if you go up to 2 weeks over due then they will induce you a due date is just a guess date its never right

And we wonder why healthcare costs are rising? I would just allow your body to continue doing its thing until it is determined that in induction is necessary. Your insurance may not cover an on demand induction.

no trust me i tried it the only way they will is if your baby is stressed. but they will if you go up to 6 weeks
