Your comment addressed the question. You were materially implying that there was no scriptural basis for the previous contention. That probably struck a nerve with someone. (Most people don't like the idea that they need scriptural basis) so they nit picked based on your sentence structure. Sorry the world is so full of small people.

I had just the same a week ago sis, I was told that what I had put was not an answer, there were more than forty of us here that saw this and disagreed with there view strongly, I replied to them showing how it was an answer and it was still upheld but this time without reason just saying it was not in keeping with the guidelines!. Expect this when some do not like your answer, there is a God in heaven and he See's all things of the minds and hands!.

He was justifiably angry because the money changers were using the outer court of God's temple (His Temple) for fraudulent exchanges of money. That is why he overturned their tables. The animals did not attempt to go after or attack Jesus. I have never seen that in the Apocrypha, in the commentaries, or in The New American Bible.

well your answer was reasonable too. . the animals were not suppose to be in the temple anyway , this was not supposed to be an area where money changers were to be also, the temple was sacred and they were defiling it not only by robbing the people with extra ordinary rates of exchange but doing it in the temple itself/ check out the book of Leviticus To see just what was written about sin offerings and such. .

i don't see anything wrong with that, they were selling the animals for sacrifices and others things were going on that should not have been, he got angry and sin not, he said that they were making His father's house a den of thieves and drove them out. that is why He was upset this was the Temple where people would come to worship, not buy and sell!

In the future....answer their question first....then ask for scriptural proof.

Example...you could have said..."No, Jesus did not turn the tables over for that reason. But if you want to convince me...I will need scriptural proof".

someone asked a question about what kind of wood was used in jesus's cross, and i found a website saying it was made of pine, and sited the source.....and my answer was removed because it "wasn't a question or an answer." i appealed it, and they didn't change the "ruling." sometimes the violation notices are total crap....i don't know what else to say about it ;)

I know what you are saying, Look, I have had many of my answers reported for no good reason too, it happens all the time, Just suck it up inside and let it go, tis nothing you nor I can really do about it.

It seem here, only a small portion of the time do people honestly post a question and honestly want to learn something. Most people come here to stand on their little soap box.
