If you're at home and your national anthem plays on television/radio, do you stand up?

I do. But that's just me, I wouldn't think it wrong if no one else does.

No, not at home. If it were still played in public at theatres and cinemas I certainly would - in fact if they played it at cinemas instead of those irritating 25 mins of adverts before the film, I would sing it as well! I don't think God Save the Queen/King is particularly appropriate as our National Anthem though but as long as it is, I will show willing in public. From what I have seen most other countries put the UK to shame when it comes to National Anthems so I like to think I do my bit.

yes, if it comes on during the world cup i'll proudly stand there for 3 minutes just like everyone else in my local. maybe if people were more patriotic and passionate about where they came from as opposed to simply bitching about teams when they get knocked out then it might provide some inspiration for the squad to do better, etc

Of course, we at Greybeard Towers stand to attention every evening when we lower the flag and play the National Anthem, doesn't everyone?

I sure do! Very proud to be an American, my father was a soldier and I am pen-pals with several in the war in Iraq. My ex-husband was also a Marine! He fought in Viet Nam. I am very proud! I do not put anyone else down for their beliefs though. It is just me and the way I am. Peace!

no Canada just won the Junior championship and when they played the anthem i didn't stand up
