  • WHAT WAS THAT MUSIC ON TORCHWOOD LAST WEEk?

When Owen was in the nightclub, there was a rap song playing in the background. I'm not a rap fan but that one fascinated me. Worrds were something like "Overly deep, overly deep, overly deep I can't get no sleep, things are getting overly deep, overly deep, overly deep." I just like the groove to it - if you can answer this, you may just convert me...

  • Trying to find a children's adventure story from my youth?

I am trying to find a book I remember reading many years ago - probably as far back as 1975. It was an Enid Blighton style story about a small group of children who went on holiday to the Scottish countryside and discovered a series of potholes and caves behind where a burn - that was the word used in the story and may trigger a memory (Scottish stream) disappeared into the ground. There were smugglers or kidnappers involved and I remember one of the caves was full of "bad air" which the children discovered when the candle they were using to light their way went out due to the low oxygen content.

This is along the lines of a Spiggy Holes story but was not, as far as I remember, an Enid Blighton book. I am trying to find it for nostalgia resasons and to read it to my 9 year old daughter who I am reliving my childhood with. If you know the book - or even have it and would be willing to sell it (or even rent it out) I would be delighted to hear from you.

    Thanks,

    Dave (and Poppy)

  • Wild Thing played by Jeff Beck. Anyone got it?

I heard this played by (I think) Tommy Vance on the Friday Rock Show in 1985, 6 or 7. It's a real riffing, rocking version with some amazing Beck work in it. Does anyone know where I can get a copy on any format at all???

  • What would I see if I took both eyes from my sockets and turned them so they looked directly at each other?

The instinctive answer is "an eye" but I disagree. Surely it would be like connecting 2 CCTV cameras to one monitor. Each eye would see another eye but how would the one brain translate it. Has anyone ever done this - is it even possible? The eyes would still be connected to the optic nerve so they should still work...

  • Where can I find a Christmas pudding that is NOT suitable for vegetarians?

I find it offensive to the point of vulgarity that omnivores are not given our proportional representation in society. Every Christmas pudding I have seen has "suitable for vegetarians"stamped somewhere on the wrapping. I want mine made with suet, as is traditional. Invariabley I end up making my own but there is a point of principle here. If anyone can point me in the direction of someone who can provide a 'proper' Christmas pudding, I will be very grateful. If not, well there is a gap in the market to take advantage of!
