What is more important, Christ's life (teachings, examples) or his death?
I think most Christians would agree that Christ gave much to the world through the way he lived and what he taught about God and the kingdom of God, and also through salvation which was accomplished through his death. Does one have greater importance than the other?

You left out the most important part which was the resurrection of Christ. Without that there is no Christianity.

Basing your life on Christ's teachings doesn't make you a Christian.
To be a Christian, you have to believe he is divine. That is why Christianity is bankrupt. It relies upon a supernatural belief structure as its core, instead of focusing on what moral philosophy it can derive from reason and debate, as exemplified by Jesus.

His resurrection is the most important. Temper this with the fact that life would be meaningless to us if sin had not been conquered first at Calvary. If the burden of sin remained, we would all die again after receiving life because we all sin.
Now walk in thankfulness not fear.

The most important thing is to get to the most truthful version of 'his' story...
That he was an ordinary mortal man (but a prophet and healer) - and he died just like everybody else.

Both. Can't have one w/o the other. But if I have to choose I'd go with his death because of what it meant. Peace

No. He had one mission, and that mission included a "mortal" body nailed to the cross to disprove material life.

If he didn't die on the cross for the sins of the world. We would not have any hope of salvation-none of us!!!!!!!!!
