best way to destroy a credit card?

I finally paid off my credit card that I've had for about 25 years. I'm looking for an original creative way to make this piece of plastic not part of this world.

You cut it to shreds wiyh a scissor'but remember the account will remain open if you dont request the credit company to close the account.As long as the account stays open that credit card is still a potential liability!

Since plastic is difficult to recycle, what about cutting it in four(or more pieces)with a pair of scissors and pour them in a vase where you're gonna place an artifical plant?
