9-11 for school??
ok, this is very weird but anyways...
I've been livin in Germany for a couple years now and I go to a German school. Students here have to pick out one topic they're gonna talk about for one lesson every year. This year in English we can choose between 9/11 or Native Americans.. I'm not sure whether to take 9/11 cuz I'm nor sure if it's the right thing for me to do, I'm very close to a victim and it still does hurt a lot thinkin about it but on the other hand I think it's better for me to do it than for any other person here cuz they wouldn't get what it was really like there by readin some old newspapers or stuff..
do you think I should choose this topic or not??
Plz no rude answers, it's really tough for me...

It might be an opportunity to heal for you and an opportunity for others who are not close to the subject to really 'experience' what happened to you and the rest of us.
I would suggest that you write it all out - how you feel - where you are still stuck, emotionally, and then edit to create a compelling yet controlled story. The outcome could be a significant event for you and your class. If just one person in your class changes his or her mind about the event and its outcome - coming to a greater understanding of the human condition and the US, you will have achieved something great.
Good luck with what ever you decide to do.

Chose the subject you know the most about & make it live for them. Tell them of your friends plight. I knew two people who were as happy as can be, in a new relationship, who were going to spend sometime together in San Francisco. They ended up in a field in Pittsburgh. I know people who work at the Pentagon, & people who got out of the towers. Do some interviews, tell all you can find. Tell about the church at ground zero that survived without a scratch, & that is where people put remembrances.
