Is it an advantage having a constitutional monarch.....?

The Queen does not have an axe to grind or a career to carve out. She does, I beleive, care for the people of this country as "her people". She's been brought up to do so.

Politicians (even Presidents) like to "pretend" they care but all they really care about is their own bank balance and career.

The Queen is our figurehead, a mother figure if you like. The Politicians can lie cheat and steal from us but at the end of the day they have to answer to HER and I feel all the better because of that.

I have only one thing to say... guillotine! These aristocratic parasites have lived too long of the peoples of the world's back. Their vast fortunes that are based on robbery, violence, terrorism, war, and sometimes drug trafficking (like queen Victoria and the opium trade) should be redistributed to those who really need it! As for the british prince, he should be sent to the front like ALL the other soldiers... Down with their privilieges!

This question is horrible, an executive monarch... Going back to monarchy!!! Well, it's almost already done with Bush and Bush the second... As for the Queen's impartiality... Come on!

It can strengthen the national pride and shows some national heritage to the fellow citizens.

The king of Thailand is a good example coz he really helps people in his country and he is honored all over the country.

In europe there are still many constitutional monarchies like in sweden, spain, netherlands...

After seeing the kind of havoc that an American-style republic plays on its citizens and the rest of the world, I'm glad that I live in Canada, a constitutional monarchy.

A constitutional monarchy gives the state a human face that is separate from politics.

of course monarchy have vested opinions and political views. They just dont have the same kind of fear as politicians do.
