Cookie Recipe: Translate to metric? "stick of butter"?
As I live in old europe, I'm not familiar with US american measures (and really, it's about time you got rid) and especially with the weight and/or volume of a stick of american unsalted butter. In europe, it's 250g, but that's probably unlikely.
(Cups to kg. Consider density. )
I can provide the whole recipe, it was just too huge to paste.

Hallo,
ich habe folgendes gefunden:
A stick of butter in USA is 1/2 cup, 8 tablespoons.
oder aber einfach: 113 Gramm = 1Stick of butter
Das würde ja auch mit der Menge Mehl hinkommen.

226g ungesalzene Butter
508.5 g Weizenmehl
1 Teelöffel Salz
1 Teelöffel Backpulver
56.5g weiÃen Zucker
282.5g braunen Zucker
1 Ei
1 Eigelb
2 Esslöffel Milch
1 1/2 Teelöffel Vanillezucker
226g Halbbitterschokolade (in Stückchen)
Den Ofen etwa auf 190 Grad Celsius vorheizen!
Und, hilft dir das! Ist jetzt halt genau übersetzt! Ich würde die Mengen angaben jeweils aufrunden! Ist dann etwas einfacher!

1 stick of butter weighs 113 grams. Here in the States Butter is usually sold in packs of four sticks, one stick equaling 1/2 cup. Getting the right measuring cups shouldn't be a problem, I have seen them across Europe (I am German). Enjoy your cookies!
