"Your not normal"....translates into..."your not like me/us". How is it that God created humans so diverse but

THANK YOU!!! My bf and I have this debate ALL the time. NOTHING in the world if "normal". Something is only normal is the majority of society does one thing, and a small group does the opposite. That group is the minority, so that is what is not "normal". It's so stupid to me, b/c people make such big deals out of these things, especially in my opinion, Americans. In other countries, it seems that people don't care what anybody is doing, but everything here is so taboo if it's done differently, yet we are always preaching about freedom of speech, and diversity in America, and being an individual? I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in the part about God making us diverse, I just believe how we grew up and our own personality makes us that way, but I definitely agree with everything else you said!

Wow, that's a deep question, and it is so true. What does make somebody abnormal? It is us thinking they are crazy just because they do and say things that we wouldn't do or say. I try to remember that everyone is different than me, we are all unique individuals, and God made us all the way we are for a reason.

I guess people have this mentality because they have fallen under the belief that to be cool, accepted, and have friends, that they have to be exactly like the friends they hang out with, maybe so that they all have something in common. I don't know, but what I do know is that I celebrate my individuality and pride myself in being different than the rest of world.

because some can only sympathise with personal experience so when one talks of an experience outside the o thoughts of those who havnt experienced it is then classed as abnormal as no one involved knows of its reality .

abnormal becomes normal when it is better understood by the majority .

It's the main element of anti "Dualist" rant. Those who fail t recognize anything other than "Black" & "White" not only mises "Grey" but are incapable to comprehend the colour spectrium.

well who is to say what excatly normal is? and is normality a good or bad thing? shouldn't people be happy with what they are and forget the "normal" status quo.
