Running - morning or evening?
I was wondering, is it better to go for a run in the morning before breakfast rather than going at night which I have been doing.
I find it hard sometimes at the end of the day.
If the morning is better, how much water do you recommend I drink before going out for my run, as everyone wakes up a bit dehydrated from not drinking all night.

Clinically proven that running on an empty stomach in the morning has the greatest metabolic response relative to running at other times in the day. Your body's glycogen stores will be low at this time, so your body will be inclined to turn to fat for most of its energy (unfortunately protein as well if you do too much)

I'm not a running expert but I can tell you that the Body For Life program recommends that you drink two glasses of cold water when you first wake up and then do the aerobic workout. The reasoning was that by working out before eating you would rev your metabolism and wake your system up to burn the breakfast that follows.

Well it is always better to work out in the morning and as for the water just make sure you drink 8 cups during the whole day and try not to drink a lot of water while your running

Run in the morning it will get your metabolism up and running, so you can burn fast faster. I always drink a couple glasses of water when I wake up. 16 to 24 ounces is a good start. Be sure to care a liter of water with you .

okay i would suggest drinking a glass of water before bed and in the morning go for a jog. bring a water bottle with you incase you get dehydrated. it would be better to go running in the morning because you arent as tired from the rest of the day when you would be going at night. running in the morning will also boost your energy for the rest of the day so you arent extremely tired.

My best answer, well guess would be to run in the mornings to get your metabolism going, and drink maybe a half a glass, and take a bottle of water with you on your morning run, that is what I do in the mornings,
hope I helped?

Anytime is a good time for a run. Unless you are training for a race then you would listen to your trainer. If I run in the morning I would drink a small glass of fruit juice and becuase I run for long distance's I have become accustomed to carrieing a water bottle. This way I never have to end a good run becuase of thirst.

Morning running is 100% harder than evening running. In the morning I always struggle to get up to a good pace however in the evening when your muscles are already warm from a days work it is so much easier and you are less prone to muscle strain. Try a couple of morning runs but in my experience evening running is better.

Running in the morning will burn more fat/calories because your metabolism can work faster rather than after a full day of work. I run on an empty stomach before going to work, sometimes I have a glass of water, but not more. And then a couple of glasses with/after my breakfast of porridge. It's good to have porridge after because you are using more energy than normal and porridge is filling and releases the energy slowly; and as long as you use semi skimmed or skimmed milk it is low fat.

In the morning. It will give you energy. That when I go running because at night I have friends, family over and sometime they don't live until it is bad time. Them you wont have time to run.
