it's another example of the middle classes who have hijacked the whole of the UK.

Transportation is a right, and a necessity for for the working classes, with train fares, Parking tax (AKA car parks) and Bus fares going through the roof.

It's claimed that investment will be made into public transport when charges are introduced - put isn't it the Cart and Horse... perhaps we should invest first in decent public transport and then bring in road charging. After all it is a con, we've been conned in the UK for the past 30 years by our establishment.

Remember the "establishment" sold off OUR companies and gave them to investment banks, and yet we're expected to pay for them.

Note... the "establishment" is a term used in place of government, afterall we dont live in a democracy - we are only told we live in a democracy and we swallow it all up....

Before signing consider this: if road traffic carries on growing at the rate it is at the moment, pretty soon nobody will be going anywhere because everyone will be stuck in traffic jams for much of the day. The imposition of road pricing is simply the application of the law of supply and demand - which applies to everything else. Rail passengers have long been used to the idea of paying much more to travel in the morning rush hour.

Congestion is a tax on EVERYONE. Think of all the lorries and vans stuck in traffic, the cost of peoples time, the cost of having to use more and more buses to maintain the service because average speeds are reducing. You can argue until you are blue in the face about whose 'fault' this is - but someone will have to do something, and do it soon. Any better ideas?

Road charging will apply mostly to those travelling to and from work and those engaged in the transport industry.

The upshot to charging will simply raise the cost of living.

The money wil not be used for roads but some will be squandered on public transport in the same way that the NHS hasnt improved despite heavy funding.

No one wants public transport,at best it is ineffective in a modern society where everyone doesnt work at the same mill.

The government again has shown its desperate attempts to fill "prudence" browns economic black hole with draconian measures adversely affecting the economy long term.

Simply, its another stealth tax.The more warnings of global warming we see,the more the government rubs its hands. In the same way that Blair pretends there is a terror alert at heathrow airport to begin his push for the 90 day terror bill.

Blair and Brown are no friends of you , me or britain. They serve only their egos, seeking time in power with short term measures to buy the publics affection.

Get them out, before they destroy our nation completely!

Where do you think the money is going to come from to pay for all the extra new roads, and road repairs. It is all very well you stirring up the nation to vote against it but at the end of the day who is going to pay? There are thousands of tourists who use our roads and we have to pay in their countries so why should they not pay over here. The increase in traffic on our roads is rising every year. The costs of building and repair also rises. So answer me this, Where is the extra money going to come from. You can vote all you like but at the end of the day the government is not going to take notice of someone that has no alternative, or hasn't thought it out properly. I have reported you to Yahoo as you keep on posting the same question which is in breech of the yahoo guidelines. Your petition is a complete waste of time and effort, unless of course you have a cunning plan to resolve the traffic problems we face today.

Just another of Greaseball Browns taxes - probably to spend propping the Scots/Africa up, or some other New McLabour wheeze.

Get rid of them, before this country is terminally destroyed.
