I've heard UPS (United Parcel Service) has fantastic insurance for their part-timers. Any personal experience?

If you are a part-time hourly the insurance is good. It depends on which plan you pick and your insurance could be as low as $2.00 a week. The plan covers eye exams and dental checkups and 70% of medical bills. I am a PT supervisor and I get everything above but they pay 85% of medical and I only pay $24.00/yr for it! UPS is an excellent place to work! They also pay for your education in certain places if you are hourly, and they pay for anybody who is salary.

My husband worked for the hub in Denver. He was only there about six weeks. The work was hard lifting heavy boxes.There were time constraints on how long it could take to unload the trucks, he had to move the boxes very quickly. It sounded like very hard physical work.

I heard they pay their part-timers $9.50. Why would they give them health insurance? I doubt it....

A better company for health insurance, income and mobility is Trader Joes.
