does anyone know why italian fans have chosen the music from 'The White Stripes'?

...I know this might sound silly as an italian - but I really have no clue, why italian supporters have chosen the music from " The White Stripes' " song 'Seven Nations Army' (taken from the album 'Elephant') to celebrate their victory. They have their own lyrics though, lol (PO PO PO PO PO POOOO, CAMPIONE DEL MONDOOOO).

te lo dico in italiano xkè in inglese nn sn capace......allora quel coretto po po po po po pooooo po era nato dai tifosi della maggica (roma) durante una partita contro il bruges della coppa uefa e dopo quella partita era diventato il grande tormentone dei romanisti ke fu cantato, nel derby contro la lazio( quello dell 11 vittorie consecutive x intenderci), così"biancoazzurro bastardo po po po po poooooo po" ma qst nn è importante è solo storia ke mi piace ricordare, ad ogni modo i romani iniziarono a cantarlo anke dopo le vittorie della nazionale e allo stadio durante le partite e visto ke alla fine siamo ttt fratelli d'Italia tutti hanno copiato i grandiosi romani!

"Seven Nation Army," substituting the words "we are the champions" in Italian for the original lyrics.

It only makes sense since they are the champions!!
