I did an internship from the end of July until the end of October in California. My ex-employer now sent me this wonderful W-2 form and I honestly have no idea what to do with it. Is it even possible to file a Federal Income Tax Return form without actually living in the United States anymore (I'm from Germany)? If so, how do I do it?

okay, here's my problem: I've written a small class containing some atom names as well as their formula symbols and the corresponding image (it's for a game). Storing the data is just fine. But I'm having a problem searching the instantiated classes for a specific, let's say, formula symbol.

This is what I've tried (just for your information):

But of course searching through instances of a class by formula symbol (string formula_symbol) does not work.

So, what is the fastest and easiest way to search small collections of data? Which data structure should be used?

Ihr alle kennt doch sicherlich diese Kernspintomographen, in die man hineingeschoben wird, und durch den die Mediziner ein ganz genaues Bild von einem erhalten können. Meine Frage ist nun: Wie genau funktioniert solch ein Tomograph eigentlich? Wie kommt man am Ende zu einem detaillierten Bild des menschlichen Körpers.

This might be a really dumb question for some of you, but I just don't seem to get this right: I want to divide a long string into some lines of text. Therefore I need to split it after a specific length. As the words should be complete in one line it should also take care of the whitespaces. And there's the problem!

This is my code:

This code correctly splits the string into parts. But of course it does not take care of the whitespaces. And: No, I can't use \r\n to create a new line. It does not work in this specific case.

Can anyone of you help?

I think, this question is a bit weird.

But I'll try to explain, what I need:

Assume, I have a string with the value "Form" and an integer with the value 1. Is there a way to put these values together (=> 'Form1') and access the properties of Form1 then (similar to getElementById in Javascript)?

For example:

"Form"+1 => Form1

=> Form1.BackgroundColor = Colors.Red;

I hope you got the basic idea of what I'm going to try and I hope you can tell me how I can realise this (if even possible).

Hey, guys, I have a problem with multithreading. Here's my code:

Thread ExtractIt = new Thread( new ThreadStart( ExtractFile ) );

ExtractIt.Start();

this.label3.Text="Status: Extracting dictionary file. Please wait";

At this point my program is extracting a larger text file in a thread.

Now I want to wait for the thread to exit and then print out "Files extracted successfully" or something like this in label3. Important: I do not want to lock the program. I had no success using Thread.Join(); cause this prints the success message correctly but locks the program while thread is active.

Writing this directly into the thread procedure results in a error that I can't access label3 from another thread than the thread I created it with (means: the main thread).

Is there anyone who can help?

Well, I just want to write the time of compilation into the title bar of the program. Of course "MyWindowCaption" + DateTime.Now; only adds the execution time to the program.
