I am very interested in languages. I loved reading many Japanese children's books when I was small but when I started to learn English in Jr. High, I thought English was the most romantic language in the world. I wanted to be an interpreter and went to an interpreter school in Japan but something came up and had to drop out. Now instead of an interpreter I am a nurse in the States (interesting isn't it?) I do enjoy helping people and am glad that I can help others with Japanese and mental health on Yahoo Answers: it also helps me to learn more English. I have two adult sons - 1/2 American.

Why is it wrong to put (a) before Japanese(or Spanish, French, etc) when I want to say "I am a Japanese?" It's correct to say "I am (a) Japanese woman," right? In the same sense, should I say "I am asian"-- without (an)? Appreciate your answers.

I see in the news that some kids play this game to get high. I have a extreme fear of choking, suffocating, and drowning because of my past experiences of almost drowning in the ocean and choking with food and it was unbearable. How can anyone tolerate to the point of cutting off their oxygen flow and when do they get high in the process?

We hardly know anything about stock but about 4 years ago we decided to do our IRA, Roth and traditional in Edward Jones but we lost a lot of money. We lost so much to even withdraw now, but was thinking to rollover to annuity plan in our bank which interest is high and we don't lose money.
