Where should I begin??? I enjoy relaxing with family and friends. I spend the majority of my time with my husband and our 2 dogs. Ben is almost as opinionated as I am... hard to believe! He is a soldier and has taught me a lot about life. Our daughter was born on 2 Nov, 2007. She is PERFECT!!! As for me, I spent a wonderful stint in the White House,1998 during the impeachment of President Clinton! I worked in the Office of Presidential Personnel, and learned a ton about the interworkings of the White House and the government. I bring a lot of what I learned to "Answers!" so I will appologize now, if I seem trite! Currently, I am a teacher who works with the most challenging of students - over age and often times long term removal from the regular education setting - in a last chance school environment. (Heck if I could make it in the White House... I think I can make it here!) Regardless of the stresses, I must say that I love my job, life, and everything that entails!

  • Determine the size of the baby... based on fundal height???

    For starters, let me explain I just arrived in South Korea with my husband (military) about 10 days ago!!! We scheduled a doctors appointment and they did the typical check up stuff - heartbeat (140 bpm) and measured my stomache! I have never had any issues with measuring larger than I should, until now!

    Whenthe doctor measured the fundal height, she told my husband and myself, she thought I was going to have a "big" baby based on the measurement of my uterus. I am currently at 35 weeks 1 day (EDD 6 Nov 07) and my uterus measured 36 cm. I didn't think it was a big difference... but she still worried me!

    The doctor then asked how big both my husband and myself were at birth (I was 7lb 8oz and Hubby 9 lb 1 oz)... She thought our baby would be somewhere inbetween. Which I am FINE with!

    I was just curious if anyone had any experience with this, or if the doctor is estimating low at 8+ lbs????

    Being our first baby, I am a bit nervous!

  • Due Date Question????

    Why is it that my doctor's " wheel" to determine my due date says I am currently 7 weeks - based on the first day of my last cycle.... 1/28/2007

    However, on thee website I go to (www.whattoexpect.com) the same information says I am 8 weeks?

    I know you are going to say wait until I have my first ultra sound... scheduled next Monday - March 26.... however, I am just curious about the date... What do you think?
