I need a pressure regulator, but I don't know what kind?
I want to be able to control the pressure of air in a small, closed environment. The closed volume is no more than 250 ml, or a cup. I have a 100 psi air source available and I want to be able to adjust the pressure in the closed environment within the range of 0 - 45 psi. It is not necessary for me to know the true pressure (though that would be useful).
I don't know what sort of pressure stability to ask for. It will depend on how much more expensive +/- 1 psi vs +/- 0.1 psi is. Any electronics should be self-contained. A computer connection may provided, but must not be mandatory
What sort of a regulator am I looking for?

A simple 2-stage air pressure regulator.

You need to know the fitting sizes. But the real expense of an "air pressure regulator" is the accuracy desired (+/- 1 psi is much cheaper $15+, than +/- 0.1 psi $100+), how accurate it maintains pressure under changes, etc.
It's typically a mechanical device, although some allow an electronic output so a computer can tell what the pressure is ($300+).

I can't point to a specific part but such things are common. Grainger I know has them because I bought one some years ago. Probably McMaster-Carr. Mine drops compressor pressure (120psi for us) to under 20psi and is adjustable.$50 or something.
