What was the political orientation of Jesus?

He was a dedicated member of the Federalist Party.

John 18:36 KJV — Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Mark 12:17 KJV — So render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

Jesus answered that himself when on trial before Pontius Pilate.  At John 18:36 he said, "My kingdom is no part of this world."  Jesus was neutral when it came to worldly politics because his kingdom was a heavenly kingdom, not an earthly one.  In the same way, his disciples are also neutral when it comes to earthly politics because they are citizens of that heavenly kingdom.
