Is 10 rounds of 9mm a fair trade for a roll of toilet paper?

I would give a mega roll of Charmin for 3 .458 SOCOM cartridges. I don`t own a 9mm anymore. A 9mm pistol is mostly for self defense and 10 rounds could last a long time...a mega roll of TP could last a week or more with a guy and maybe 2 days with a gal.

 The generation before me had no indoor bathrooms nor running water. My Grandparents had no electricity as well except for the last 15 years of their lives. They did have cornfields and large leaf oak trees. Goat weeds are like velvet and as far as any other use except 'that' I cannot think of it at the moment. People give a 'deer in the headlights' look when hearing talk about a slop jar and Sears catalog but I still have one of each...and an emphatic NO to the obvious followup thought. To even mention going to any extreme action or even the threat of violence is insane for a roll of TP.

I hope all the TP talk is humor and I`m all in for that.

Since both more ammo and more toilet paper are being produced and will find their way to shelves, and price gouging is illegal and those participating are being pursued for it, you can only expect these things to have market value.  So how much is 10 rounds of that  particular ammo worth, and how much is a roll of that particular brand of toilet paper worth?

If someone is willing to trade toilet paper for ammo, it means they also have a firearm.  And it is highly unlikely they're completely out of ammo for it.

Bullets were used as a medium of exchange in several apocalyptic novels I have read. Ten bullets sounds about right. But in the novels I read there was no longer any such thing as toilet paper.

The better question is how far have we degenerated if a roll of tp is more valuable than a persons life! Why not find a better way to clean one's self than depend on tp! Like a bidet or a similar device. How about a laboratory wash bottle with the tip trimmed back for more flow and the internal straw removed and a paper towel to finish up! Do not flush the paper towel but throw it into the trash!
