If Zelensky was not pressured into announcing an investigation into Biden, why was it canceled after Trump was caught blackmailing him?

But, again, that's just circumstantial. When the whistle blower's revelation came out public, the ban on the security aid to Ukraine was lifted just a few days later. And Z did not have to follow through with the "favor" Trump asked for.

But, see, there is no definitive direct link between the whistle blower's revelation and the lifting of the ban. In fact there is no evidence either way on why the ban was lifted and Ukraine got that aid after all.

If only there were a tweet from the POTUS to SOSUS saying in effect "oops there is a whistle blower, we need to give Z his aid without an investigation announcement."

But there isn't. The hearings did not come up with anything that directed the lift of the ban and why. In fact there is nothing other than a memo from Trump initiating the ban in the first place.

I'm a liberal who'd like to see Trump tossed out on his ear, but I agree. All the evidence is circumstantial and can be interpreted in a number of ways, including ways that exonerate Trump.

Precisely.........Zelensky was about to do it........caving to the "non-existent" pressure he claims he didn't feel........and then cancelled his press meeting, the second the story broke.
