Which Catagory is More Practical to Learn, Weapons Trianing or Unarmed Martial Arts?
Unarmed Martial Arts(Striking, Grappling, Throwing) are more practical for a kid or teenager in the K-12 school system While Weapons Trianing( Marksmanship, Impact, and Edged weapons) seem to be more useful and appropriate in adult life for self-defense against violent crimes. If you can only learn one catagory, which catagory is do you think is more useful?

it depends on what you want to do. if your in the middle of a warzone then firearms are gonna serve you better then knowing how to stab someone to death or beat someone in an unarmed dual. learning unarmed combat is gonna serve you a lot better in school because at that age it will make you more confident and safer. but after you leave school being able to fight dont mean **** anymore. once you actually learn how to fight it loses its mystery and becomes less interesting. you will find yourself walking away a lot more. people who really truly know how to fight understand the futility of it. theres no power in being a local tough guy. nobodies gonna take your bullshit their just gonna call the cops on you. if you just wanna be able to defend yourself then psychology is your best bet. knowing how to manipulate people will keep you safer on the street then anything else you can learn in a dojo or gym or whatever you wanna call it.

I'd pick physical combat. Firearms are easy to master if you have good eyesight. Edged weapons would just be an extension of physical combat moves.
Answer: the categories overlap, but I would focus more on physical. One helps the other.
