Is this a new low for Yahoo?

Got a "User requested removal" violation, but was not clear who the "user" is or what was removed. We are all users, Askers and Responders. So I asked the question, who is the "user" and what was removed? In this case, I was the Asker, so it had to have been a Responder who requested removal of my question.

So now our questions are censored along with our answers? We can only ask questions that are politically correct? Is that it Yahoo?

Anyway, here's yet another one you can pull for no reason other than you don't like the question. It cuts too close to your home.

Yes it is. Even though the answer you posted as deleted as a result of a false violation, Yahoo staffers declines certain appeals because of the reason "user requested removal." This is never the valid reason for the denying the appeals, which has been the new normal here as of late.

You have been a member for 12 years & still don't understand how it works? There is NO new low, just different wording to deny your appeal.Posts are reported for many reasons. They may offend, disgust or insult one or more members who report you & a programme removes the offending content.I find that in 90% of cases it is justified. The trick is to stay out of controversial categories & fully understand the guidelines,it isn't rocket science.Politics,R&S & P&S are rife with trolls who will report anything they don't agree with.

    YES!

The same jack@ss note was sent to me along with "One more report about you and we're terminating your account!"

So, basically.................any loser user who's friends with the moderating team, and doesn't like brutal honesty, can complain w/out valid reason and get you suspended.

All reporitng is 'user requested removal' so it's just a non-reason for appeal denial.

Yes, it defintely is new low for both Yahoo AND Verizon.

No you NEVER are told who the user is because that would break numerous laws in many countries.

NO ONE USED to get denied appeal emails with that as a reason for the denial until VERIZON has owned Yahoo. WHO are these users users contacting and HOW are they contacting either Verizon OR Yahoo to request the removal of a particular ANSWER, does this happen to questions as well, or is it ONLY answers./

NO one knows the email address or the phone number for the Yahoo Appeals Board OR the Yahoo Abuse Board.

Apparently only people with paid premium email accounts have that contact information. The reporting procedures have NOT changed, and there is NO Yahoo or Verizon staff monitoring ot moderating questions or answers on YA.. If you still don't know HOW YA works and that it is server computers and computer programs that run YA m NOT Yahoo or Verizon staff, someone has a problem.and may needs professional help.

No. Yahoo can get VERY low. Think of the people who answered your question. They get notified that they have been reported and have lost ten points. When they try to appeal, they are told that they cannot because the question was yours, not theirs.
