Need help wiring new dimmer switch.?
I have 3 wires coming out of wall: black, white, green.
The Dimmer has 4 wires: black, green, 2 reds.
which wire connects to which color?
I know green goes with green, black with black
What I want to know is do I connect red wire to white wire? or do I just cap off both red wires?
The reason I don't know how to connect new dimmer is because my old dimmer has 2 black wires, 1 green.
one black wires is connected to black, the other black is connected to white, green to green.

If the instructions that came with the switch don't tell you, YOU find someone that can actually READ the instructions.

you have purchased the wrong switch. You have a 3 way switch. You can actually use it. Connect to the black and either red. Cap off the other red and it will work.
