does alcohol have a bad effect on mental health?

i have sufferd with anxiety all my life but it suddenly dramticly calmed down and i was able to get a job that pays really well, i have been happy for the last 4 weeks of working but i drank 3 nights in a row and now i feel super nervous? could alcohol have a massive negitive effect on mental health?

Yes, alcohol and mental health problems don't mix at all. Even worse: mixing alcohol and psych medications.
Best to avoid alcohol entirely.
