Is there a way to get rid of my 25 year old brother?

my brother is 25 years old. he doesn t do anything besides smoke, drink and sleep. he doesn t have a job and and he failed out of college. he cusses at me and mom when we don t do whatever he says, he talks about hurting the dogs in our house, he talks about hurting himself too. He argues and yells with my mom everyday. he is bipolar, but he never takes his medicine. I hate being here at home because i don t want to hear all the fighting. my mom has thought about kicking him out, but she knows he has nowhere else to go. Even though she talks about kicking him out, she never does anything about it. i don t like being at home because i hate hearing all this yelling and fighting. is there any way for my brother to leave? is there any way we can get rid of him?

not sure if you can get rid of him but if you told cps about all the fighting going on at home they might move you out

You Mom needs to get strong and kick him out. You should not have to live in such a toxic environment. Good luck and take care.

The minute he is making credible threats of violence, you can call the police and have him hauled out of there. Since he is not taking his meds, he will likely end up on a pysch hold- make sure they know he has been diagnosed as being  bipolar and is off his meds.

Your mom can have him ejected from the house, and held for treatment, since he is clearly not in control of his actions. She can file for a restraining order, and then work on getting him hospitalized, treated, and then perhaps in a halfway house.

She should talk to a lawyer. Before your brother kills her or you or your dogs.

He needs to go to a mental institution. Set up cameras for proof that he has mental issues, then get him 302'd.

I personally think the best way to solve this is to call authorities and get your brother help. It sounds like he is suicidal and your mom worries about him which is why she won't kick him out. He obviously needs help and you and your family need peace again. I wish the best for you!

She should get him tested for mental issues, for him to go see a therapist, and not kick him out, but find a way to get to him, and change his attitude. If she needs to threaten him, she can call the police
