Do your tires know what kind of car they are on? No? Then why would you go by anything it says on the tire?

Do the hundreds of engineers working for Honda have a pretty good idea what your inflation requirements are, thus feeling confident enough to post the best inflation pressure on the car itself?

    Yes.

Use the pressure printed on the label in the doorjamb. 50 psi is too high for a tire, and that is the safety limit, not the practical safe pressure. Too much or too little pressure will turn on the tpms light. The battery in each monitor will last 5-12 years, so the light on may be indicating a weak or dead battery, besides normally just a low tire. That can be checked with a sophisticated TPMS checker. Big O tires uses that kind and will check and if possible, reset your monitors to turn the light off, but if a monitor has failed, the only remedy is to replace the monitor. Some people will put a good monitor in a place easily accessible, reset the TPMS system and have all the monitors removed from the wheels. One $50 monitor in the trunk and a good tires gauge might make better economical sense than $200-$300 replacing them all every 5 years. Have your monitors checked and make sure all the tires are at the right pressure.

Look in your owner's manual for the owner-performed method of resetting the TMPS system. Toyota has a button under the dash to push to do that, but that does not fix a dead monitor battery.

Yes, the recommended tire PSI is 30. 50 listed on the tire is only a safety warning, not the recommended PSI. Refer to your owner's manual to reset your TPMS. If the reset fails you simply have a non-functioning TPMS sensor.

The tire pressure on the tire is the max pressure before the tire blows up. The inside of the driver door will have a sticker that tells you the tire pressure. It should be either 30PSI or 33PSI. That is typical for cars of that size.

50!!! That is probably why it is on. That is way high. Look at the door edge or door frame edge for recommended PSI.
